Dean's Summer Research Awards
The Dean's Summer Research Awards give rising seniors who receive financial aid the opportunity to devote the summer to thesis research. The awards provide students who have already received a research grant with an additional grant to cover the summer savings requirement of their financial aid packages.
NOTE: Other than those from Canada, students living abroad have no savings requirement and so are ineligible for the program. Funded by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, this program reflects the Faculty's commitment to undergraduate research and to providing equal educational opportunities for all students.
To apply for a Dean's award, complete the brief application form. If you are applying to the Harvard College Research Program, you may simply turn in this form with your HCRP application. Otherwise, submit it to the Student Employment Office along with the following:
- your grant proposal
- letter of support from the advisor for your project
- a resume
Selection will be based on financial need, the quality of the research proposal, and the strength of faculty support.
Applications are due at the SEO by April 2, 2008
